RATIONALITY AND THE IDEOLOGY OF DISCONNECTION by Michael
Taylor, a political scientist and recovering rationalityaholic. He was convinced of the limits of
individual rational choice theory by dealing with the Native
Americans and finding that their passionate, "irrational"
attachment to their land led to their fighting to save it and
actually succeeding in saving some of it, while a rational
individual would have given up and lost everything. So
"irrat" beats rat. Anyway, read the book, it's way better
than that summary!

Yes. Irrational people deny that global warming exists or that humans are responsible for it despite the loads of scientific evidence saying otherwise, and therefore block action to reduce our environmental impact.

Man-made global warming is by no means a proven fact, and scientists world-wide are distancing themselves from the junk science vomited out by gore and his ilk. Horse and buggy, eating twigs and bark, and living in a cave may be rational to some, but I'll stick with my suv and air conditioned home. Thank You very much!
