Diamond City is close to Ratchthevi Skytrain Station, so going to Silom is easy. Take train to National Stadium and change to Silom line heading to Saphan Taksin and drop at Saladaeng Station. You are in Silom.

Sukhumvit, Take train to National Stadium, take train the Silom line other way to On Nut along Sukhumvit Rd. Depending on where you want to go, Soi 9 drop at Nana, Soi 19 drop at Asoke, Soi 24 drop at Prom Phrong. Eastern Bus Terminal drop at Ekkamai.

For Chatuchak, take the train up to Mochit and you get to Chatuchak. It is at Mochit. If you are not in Bangkok on weekend, you can still visit other shops around the weekend market.

uggest that you take your half day city tour, asked to be dropped off at MBK, from there youcan head to Sukhumvit for pubbing and then Silom for night market. Next day take train to Chatuchak and you have finished your 2 days.

Be aware that Chatuchak is only open on weekends (except for a few stalls), and unless you're in BKK on Sat. or Sun. don't bother going out there, you can also take the subway there, too. Also, there's not nearly as much to do on Sukhumvit and Silom Rd. until after dark, so plan on going to these areas at night unless you want to go to the department stores and shops during the day. As the above answer stated, the skytrain will take you to all the last three places you mentioned and the subway can as well. Silom Rd. and Sukhumvit are not far from each other by skytrain, Chatuchak is the last stop on the skytrain line and the 2nd to last on the subway. Here's a good subway and skytrain map, have fun:

50 greenbacks consistent with night for a 4 famous guy or woman lodge? not gonna happen. if your budget is $50 consistent with night assume a 2 famous guy or woman room. i'm guessing your queston is extra like what section in Bangkok to stay in (not what city as Bangkok is the city) detect a lodge in the middle of city and you will pass to the main tourist factors of interest.

use the sky train to go to sukhumvit, silom and MBK. Get of the sky train at his last stop SAPHAN TAKSIN and take the boat to travel to the old city. Don't buy a tourist ticket, just get on the boat and you pay only 15 bath! Get of at RHO ARUN to visit Wat arun.

These last 3 are all on the skytrain route. You can easily see them. Do not take taxis as it will use up to much of your time. The skytrain costs about a dollar for each trip. It is safe, clean and air-conditioned.
