bestbuy and circuitcity are selling this for 180 right now. and on circuitcitys website it got a rating of 4.5. but it has 600watts. most home theater systems have 1000 or so. i like bass and that is really my biggest concern. i want to feel the bass when im watching a movie or playing a game or listening to music. it says it has a 100watt bass and i have 120watt bass in my room that connects to my laptop and i love that. but just wondering if anyone has this and is happy with this product and doesnt' reccomend spending 400 on a 1000 watt system. Again let me knwo how the bass is. if bass is weak can i buy a better bass and connect it to this system?

Thanks for any help

Hi. Do you know if the 600 watt rating is continuous or peak .If it is continuous (rms) you will get a genuine 100 watts per channel. If it is a peak reading then you will only get about 50 clean watts per channel but i guess for the money it is pretty good value.

hey, I have never used that system, but you have to remember that you get what you pay for. 600 watt seems really week, especially if you say you want to feel the bass in the sound. Try to see if any stores have one set up, that way you can check it out and see if you like it. I personally suggest a 1000 w and up, but again 180 is really cheap. Also make sure it has an optical in a coaxial in and rca inputs.

whilst 600w shouldn't rattle the partitions in the encompass stakes (bear in mind 600w is allotted over 6 audio device if the sub isn't passive) $one hundred won't be in a position to be sniffed at for something made by means of pioneer-it could be sturdy as a starter device. i began out with a sony dav-s 3 hundred (300w) and that i now have a distinctive amp device producing 1700 watts. so i could grab it-it may be the beginning up of a wonderous journey.
