You sound reasonable and sincere. Not all of the atheists here are. I've never blocked anyone. I've actually had some nice IM sessions with a couple of them. Others are so full of anger and venom that they are no fun to talk to. Many Christians are young and new to the faith. They don't know how to answer some of the questions and attacks they receive. There are plenty of others who can. Most Christians don't spend a lot of time honing their debating skills. They are too busy learning to live a good life in the light of their belief in God. Of course many fall short of their goals. Don't we all?

None, I love to converse with Atheists and Agnostics. There may be sound reasons for belief on both sides. Blocking or even backing away from answering this question shows a lack of confidence and conviction on the part of a Christian to address you honestly and is why I chose to respond. True conviction and acceptance has to rely on more than simple faith or belief. Chrisitians may believe in what is not seen (although there is a lot to see), however, true Christianity is not based on the unknown. God is to be found. Atheists, since they rely on only themselves and what is apparent to their minds miss so much. Any philosopher will tell you that even how the mind comes to comprehend with any assurance is also a mystery. The whys never to be found.

Not a one!! But I have blocked people that are just very mean to others. I do not know if they are Christians or Atheist or what they practice. I love the diversity here. Not the hate that some people show to others.

I only blocked one person but not because he (or she) was an Atheist (I know this person to be a fundamentalist), but because he (or she) was spamming me with 15 - 20 emails a day all telling me that I am going to hell because I am Catholic.
Personally, I think there are some great people here that are Atheists - more than a couple have come to the defense of my faith - and when possible, I come the their defense.

I have blocked 3 people. One because they have blocked me and I use that to recognize them. The other two were Stalking and rude (vile language). I also blocked them from IM because they insisted on annoying me after I told them to leave me be. I would do the same to a door to door salesman or a JW. I would do the same to an atheist or a fellow Catholic. Rude is rude and if it takes blocking, or slamming the door, or drawing a .45, then that's what it takes.

That depends on your definition of sound..from my standpoint they are not sound reasons but from yours,,they probably are..I wouldn't block you because your are an atheist. I would block someone who had a filthy mind and kept putting vile, things just to shock. Hey, I was an agnostic until I was 37....there is hope for you. LOL I think I will keep you around.

I'm an atheist who has been blocked by 3 Christians that I know of. Surprisingly, the ones who have blocked me I can't ever recall meeting here. I never answered their questions, I don't remember seeing their answers. Odd.
I haven't blocked anyone, I simply made my q&a private to stop the trolls.

I'm a Christian, and I don't block anyone based on their beliefs (or lack of). Everyone should have the right to post their point of view. I've only blocked two people; one was a miss cleo wanna-be, and the other was very offensive.

I have only blocked one user, since the idiotic questions have no value. Others have the right. I like a debate, just not crazy of those who only want to mock.

I have yet to block anyone.
I have no problem talking with atheist as long as they can be civil. I actually work with some everyday and have a pretty good relationship with them. Be warned though, I pray for them too. :)
Hope you have a good day.
