if a woman likes a man and she thinks he is taking too long to ask her out, should she take the initiative and ask him out? i've always thought men preferred the thrill of the chase.

Also, keep in mind the men i am referring to would be in their late 20's and early 30's because i am 26. so i don't know if age difference would have anything to do with it.

It's a new era and it is more then acceptable for the ladies to be asking out the fella's nowadays. This way she is not kept in suspense wondering if he will call her. But there are still a lot of us old guys who do enjoy still the thrill of the chase.

oh you sound just like me! i am the same, i do like the thrill of the chase, but only for a while. its nice when a guy eventually says he has feelings for me, and not say it straight away....unfortunately the guys that i go after end up telling me how they feel when it's too late :( so try not to take it for granted. if you really do like the guy, let him know in return otherwise it might be too late.

I am 28 and will be 29 shortly and I can not stand the chase. I am a very shy guy and when I really like a girl and she likes me, I am not ever for sure so I don't do anything and I am always waiting for her to just do anything that shows she likes me cause as soon as she does it's like now that I know for sure, I will take care of her for the rest of my life.. Most men my age don't want the chase we want to find out if you like us and when we do thats it, we will take care of you from then on.

No, I don't chase anyone and am rarely single. If I meet someone who plays games, I'll toss them aside for someone who won't play games. Why should I play games? There's always someone else out there who wants to go out with me so I don't sweat any one person and I wouldn't want to be with someone like that anyway as it's a bunch of horsesh!t. Typically, the women I date ask me out as I rarely go out of my way to give somebody a chance. Usually it frustrates them to the point where they'll just give in and ask me out. I figure if they like me, they'll let me know otherwise I'll find someone else who will. It seems to work for me and I won't do it any other way.

I am 19 and i love it! Chase is half the fun, but i took a psych class my freshman year and there are like 4or 5 types of people out there. Each one of them look for a different type of love and i remember one of them is just the type of people who love the chase and thats it. If i had my psych book id tell you more but i sold it.

that is exactly how we men are programmed - it's all about the chase, the thrill of the kill, the conquest - once a man has been "there" with a woman, he either wants to get serious or he moves on to the next kill - just the way we are built, sorry

I've never liked "chasing" any girl. If I like her, I want her to know it. If she wants to play hard to get and be chased, I'll see her around, ya know? I'm not into mind games and drama.

look... it doesn't really matter who asks whom out, the person you are talking about might be shy or might not be. regardless, you should ask him out because whats the worst thing that could happen, he doesn't want to go out with you? oh well, you will still be friends. don't live regretting not doing something and just do it... carpe diem! you won't live forever, just go and get the most out of life and have fun.
