This is a good place to try and help someone, but I would also like to go somewhere while relaxing to fellowship without debate, the goodness of God.
Blessings.

Sometimes we need to be filled up. At times this R&S seems to drain the joy right out of you.

I have been encouraged so much by many of your edifying comments. God Bless you, I needed this awesome response from those who are really plugged in to God. Wether you know it or not I believe God sent you to encourage me. A best answer would have to go several. Thanks again.

new man, some of these ppl are just plain rude and others are rude because they are curious. they want to know what we know and they want to see our reactions too. so i say, stand and continue to be a spirit filled man and just answer their questions with and let them know they are loved, some have never been told that

Try beliefnet. They have moderated discussion boards, and though there are a variety of opinions, the "crude, rude and ugly" style so prevalent here is not usually tolerated there. The moderators will generally remove threads that veer off-topic or degenerate into personal attacks.
It's probably not a good idea to spend too much time in this particular forum (i.e., R & S). At first, you hope that you might be able to help someone... then you realize that it's like trying to have a rational discussion in the middle of a crowded room of people all yelling random thoughts, many of them profane and/or nonsensical.
Don't become too discouraged--just remember that God has His own methods of reaching particular people, in His own time and in His own way.

Debating religion on an open channel is just that open. You take the good with the bad...it's a part of life.....I for one like to hear the opinions on the subjects in question. I usually ignore the rude ones and read the thought out ones.
If your gonna speak your mind in what you believe in . Then be prepared to hear the opinions of other who disagree. With that being said " fellowship in peace all you want"
When you post those church site they right them down to go bother them their too "Thanks"
For being from a religious group the Christians in here are really rude more so than the ones your complaining about. Encourage the questions of your faith, let them challenge your will and love for God, spread the teachings you believe in with out anger. When you complain you have no where to go without being followed by these none believers (as myself) your letting them win...............

New_man, I'm afraid that I agree with Diana that THIS forum is about Religion and Spirituality and unfortunate to you Christians that tends to include ALL Religions and ALL forms of spirituality. However, I'm afraid that Yahoo would have to have another entire section for Religions, alone, where Christianity would only be ONE section among many hundreds of other sections. The world is made up of MORE than just Christians and ALL of the other Religions believe that their Religion is the one true way, just as Christians do. WE ALL have our own forms of scripture and myth to back up OUR claims just as YOU have the Bible. Perhaps, as another person suggested, you could form a Yahoo Group just for the purpose that you desire. As for myself, I have treated ALL Religions with respect and acceptance, as have many others in here. Unfortunately, there are ALWAYS going to be rude and insensitive people, even among your OWN Faith, I'm sorry to point out. I wish you the very best, however and hope that you find what you seek, fellowship among your own members of your Faith.
Brightest Blessings,

Don't be discouraged, my friend. This forum *can* be abrasive but just look at all the unsaved people here! When my R&S batteries run a bit low I take a break, read, go for a walk, that sort of thing. Someone once mentioned to me a moderated forum like you asked about but it just turned out to be a bunch of prerecorded talks on various points of doctrine. Blessings to you!

R&S is an ecumenical forum. I have read nasty responses from people of all faiths, Catholic to Muslim, Jewish to Wiccan. I have learned to be selective about which questions I choose to answer.
No matter where you go, I would hope you would find debate about religion. It forces us to think about our beliefs; it encourages use to walk our talk; it demands that we own our truth.
I think this is the perfect venue for that. But it is not for the weak of faith.

There are at least two myspace type websites. One is http://www.dittytalk.com and the other is http://www.faithfreaks.com/ . I'm not Christian so I haven't tried either of them but I do belong to a pagan myspace and have found it to be much friendlier, so to speak, than the original myspace because we do all follow the same path.
Good luck.

Chat program called Pal Talk. Some set up rooms and the one who does set it up is moderator. You can set up your own or join another room. I know a few Christians who prefer it over any other chat program because of that.
Best of luck.

R & S is not for the weak in spirit.
To Saved By Christ:
Atheists don't respect your beliefs because they disagree with them. I think that most atheists respect your right to hold your beliefs, or at least they should.
