Is there some kind of technology which is kept secret and not allowed to talk or discussed about?

Most Hi-Tech companies have research facilities that people working in these facilities cannot discuss anything that is being done there anywhere but in these facilities.

If they are caught doing so, they are fired and often brought up on industrial espionage charges; possibly even treason charges.
