While doing research on my next dog. (I had to take the last one to the pound since it refused to be housebroken.) I saw that people are now breeding Giant Chihuahuas, and I decided that I want one. From what I have heard, they are about the size of a miniature German Shepherd, but they don't shed as much. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thank you Goldengal, but the dog I just gave up was pocket Staint Bernard. And, the mini Irish Wolf hound would shed too, wouldn't it. But I guess if it were free, I could take it. I really don't have much money. Do you think it would like Ol' Roy dog food?

Where is the Giant Chihuahua?

My Mini Presa ate it!

Edit: You know, Chihuahuamama really makes me mad when she says that there is no such thing as a giant chihuahua, because I KNOW THERE IS!!!!!!!!

My mom's friend's cousin's second uncle on his mother mother's side (twice removed) had one because I saw a picture of it and it looked just like the one my mini presa ate!!!!

So when anyone like Chihuahuamama gets on about there is no such thing they are lying and it makes me sooooooooo mad ... arggggggggggggggg!!!!

DP: Thanks for reminding me, but that worked out in the end because they rehomed him to a pit bull training camp where, through an all positive training protocol, he was conditioned to match at 17 1/4 pounds. If I am to believe what has been told to me, that dog, the one that bit my cousin, was the foundation stud for all of Michael Vick's dogs.

More proof that chihuahuamama is lying when she says there is no such thing, just look at Michael Vick's dogs!!!

My aunt had a "giant" chihuahua. She had papers from the breeder saying it was pure breed - but it kept growing to the size of about a great dane. Looked in every way of a chihuahua, but was just very big. So Don t say there is no such thing - because there is.

I would definitely go with the Giant Chiladoodle - Much calmer than a Giant Chi and not as finicky - since there is lab mixed in, it will eat anything and won't mind Ole' Roy at all. I've also heard that they don't have many health problems, so you shouldn't have to take it to the vet very often.

BTW Dara - There's no recognition of "Mini" Australian Shepherds - That's why you can't register ASCA or AKC!

I'm really angry with you. I have been searching high and low (mostly high) for a pocket Saint. Go get it back and send it to me. I heard they are worth thousands. You don't want a Giant Chihuahua, they are very nippy and you should see the size of their teeth. I just recently heard Steven Spielberg is doing a movie on killer puppies and a Giant Chi was trying out for the role.........Sorry, but I also heard it went to a 14 wk old dobie.......better luck next time, you know what they say about showbiz??? Back to this pocket Saint, where did you send it???

Forget the Giant Chihuahua.

You just have to get a dog like my Teacup Total Breed. It is awesome. I sent them a list via email of my standards and preferences for my dream dog and they sent me the perfect dog.
My design criteria was:
a extra small dog
stays cute and puppy like
hyperallergenic
does not shed
cuddly
quiet
potty trains easily/better if already potty trained
does not need exercise
loves all people
never hyper or mean
trained to obey all commands
They sent me a box and out came the perfect dog. If you're interested you can find them at:

They only drawback to this fabulous dog is it has to be turned on to work but it only cost $3000. What a steal!!!!

OMG I want a Giant Chihuahua.. You have to help me convince my mom that I am responsible enough! I NEED one TODAY.. Right now...( stomping up and down ) I have a dog now.. But well he poops on my mom's bed and she said if I can't housetrain him in 20 minutes she was getting rid of him...

Koehlerdogtraining.. Didn't your cousin get bit by one of those nasty Giant Chihuahuas? They can be nasty little buggers..

Diane S.. I have heard stories of a DoberChi... I think I want one of those too.. Actually I want 2.. 6 weeks old so I can bond with them better and they can grow up together and be best friends forever.. Do you think that 2 DoberChis would get along well with a Giant Chihuahua.. He wouldn't be too big for those 2 little ones would he.. It would be okay to breed them...

I wouldn't get a giant Chihuahua. I find them to be quite yappy and loud. I would go more towards the teacup Great Dane. They are quite and gentle, and they have a little poodle bred into them to make them hyperallergenic.
Also, they house train themselves, and are the perfect size. Not too big, and not too small, because they actually adjust their size to their owner's specifications.
Perfect Dog!!!

I'll look in my pocketbook I find all kind of stuff in there ok.!

Ok! No giant Chi but I did find a pocket Saint Bernard will that do??? Oops! Here's a mini Irish Wolf hound. Wow he's really cute too. His name is PeeWee, how about him?

Let me know ok. I really have to clean this pocketbook out more often too! :)
OH Kats all my pocketbook dogs are hypoallergenic! I guarantee their health for at least 2 weeks! You have my word on that! :)

OK St. Lady I'll even ship the Saint directly to you! You pay all shipping of course!

I'm still looking in my pocketbook for that Giant Chi! Maybe where I keep my Mento's?

Give me a few days and I'm sure I can come up with one for you Cat's. If not I know for sure where there are Giant Yorkies. Would that do? I also know where there are Teacup Rotties and Dobies, but I guess seeing as you are looking for big they won;t be any good for you.

I'll get back to you Kats. I know a few friends have bought what they thought would be small Chi's in the US and they ended up being Giant. I'll get on to them too and see if they can remember the breeder.

DP come up and see me. I'm sure we can find your giant Chi together. I myself am looking into that Giant Chiadoodle. It has to be AKC registered though. Yo LO! can you please help me find one?
