hmm.. possibly lower back problems.

The sciatic nerves from your spine run into your thigh and down your leg. Many people with sciatica or a herniation report leg pain.

Sounds like sciatica, which is pain in the sciatic nerve.

There are many causes for it, but the most common are problems with a disc in your lower back, or having the nerve trapped by a muscle in your butt (prirformis syndrome).

Try taking some ibuprofen about an hour before you go to bed and see if that helps. If it persists, you may need to see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
