Rae, I think you meant that they leave their bodies behind and let their spirits fly. That is called Astral projection. And yes it IS true that some people are able to do that.

i think that something changed with that around the 1600's,
every time that i take my skin off to fly at night, i pass out from blood loss, and the salt air burns like hell on the raw muscle tissue.
