I define alogically as without logic (motivated by some other thing than the search for truth, etc.)

Basically, would you rather someone think about something and sincerely take up a stance which you believe to be wrong, or agree with your current stance but be non-logical in its formation (brainwash, etc.)

Either one is acceptable to me. The problem with logic is that it is not the ONLY tool to use in the search for truth. Those who use logic alone quite frequently miss out on some proofs that can only come through belief (an inner spiritual experience).

I would be happy for someone to agree with me alogically if they had had spiritual proof of something that they couldn't logically explain.

I would rather they be logical. I am not the wisest or smartest person in the world. Therefore, if someone can support an argument that I disagree with, using logic, then maybe they will win me over, and I will change my stance. If I have improved my outlook or my thinking processes because of that , then I owe them a debt of gratitude for improving my mind.

On the other hand, someone who will argue with no point of logic at all, is simply an idiot, and I as soon as I detect that this is the type of debate that they put forth, I tune them out and move on, and their point is lost.

I love hearing other people's points of view. I may not agree, but if they state their ideas logically I can usually understand how they came to their conclusions. There have been many times when I have used other's arguments to debate against a position I agree with. I like to keep things interesting, and in this way I can see the flaws within my own beliefs.

I would rather someone disagree with me logically, however, if they agree with me alogically then they really don't know what I'm talking about to begin with..so to be alogical would be to blow smoke...which is a waste of time.

I would prefer to be argued against with by someone with knowledge of the subject and can produce facts.

It makes everything so much more exiting.

ex: My vote would be served justice by being "canceled" by someone who knew how they would benefit from the vote, rather than someone who voted ignorantly.

First thing you said...I'd rather have someone stand against me because they logically thought it out, but don't have someone who is brainwashed to follow me.

Logic is not always correct. For example, it's logical to think that if you fight fear and you lose then fear is stronger than you. But that's not the case. If you fight the darkness, you will lose, but it's not logical to say that the darkness is stronger than you.

I've never felt the need for anyone to agree with me. So disagree away, logically or otherwise.

Disagree logically...because that would hopefully lead to an enthusiastic, entertaining, intellectual debate.
