My bf going to the Marines and his MOS is Intelligences..Well I want to know will anytime will he be gone for more than 6 months. I need to know cause I want the love to stay strong but how can I do that.Also is that a dangerous MOS

yes he can be gone up to 6 months or more. depends on where he is going to be stationed, or where he is going to be needed.

intelligence includes a lot of different types of jobs, it really depends on what he specializes in.

the marines who have the most dangerous work is in infantry.

Well intel is not a very tough MOS. Pogues aren't usually in much danger as far as going out and putting rounds down range. When or if he ever goes to Iraq depending on what hes going to be doing it depends on his unit. Most FMF units dont stay deployed longer than 8 months though.

It is impossible to tell how long anyone , in any branch of the Military , will be gone. It depends on the need of the Marine Corps.
Dangerous? That depends, he could be on the front lines in Iraq, or stateside behind a desk. Again , it depends on the requirements of the Marine Corps.
I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it's the way it is. \

his deployment will be 6 months or longer depending on different issues. usually it is between 6 and 9 months.. at the longest. the longest i have been is 9 months

Marine deployments are 7 months so yes, that doesn't include tdys which can be almost any length.
