What would happen if I dropped a Xanax in my beer?

I have a Xanax prescription for 1 mg tablets. Can I drop one in my beer, and if so, what would happen?

It would disintegrate, just like in your stomach. The active ingredient would probably dissolve, but it would be hard to tell because the binder would make your beer look cloudy. BTW, you never asked what effect it would have if you drank it, so I'm assuming you were looking for the above response.

I have no idea what would happen if you simply drop it in, but if you drink a combination of xanax and beer you are taking risks. I have a good friend whose son lived about a week after playing Russian Roulette. Not a pretty sight. I also know someone well who thought it OK to mix xanax and beer until he tried to stop. After all, he was not an addict or alcoholic and his MD prescribed the xanax. About two weeks after completing a 28 day program he developed a horrible red rash in his mouth and throat which made it impossible for him to talk or eat and required further medical intervention.
