Ewww, no tonic water. Very chemical, medicinal taste.
Sprite would be a great substitute for club soda, since it's lemon-lime flavored. Since it's already sweetened though, cut down on any sugar you add.
Happy drinking!

I wouldn't use tonic water--that will kill the whole mojito flavour. If you use sprite, just cut down or totally eliminate the sugar or sugar syrup you're using. That would be the best.

Well then it wont technically be a Mojito. It may be too sweet with Sprite - go get some soda!

I've had mojitos made with Sprite (or Sierra Mist, don't remember which one, but they taste the same). It tasted great, especially since the lemon-lime flavor goes with the drink. If you use it, you probably don't need any sugar.

Either... club soda and tonic water are pretty much the same thing. But sprite would give it more of a citrusy flavor.

Disagree with Karen. Tonic water with Quinine would rock

Margarita Mix is a great substitute for soda some restaurants just call for a splash of soda anyway.

I personally prefer it with sprite or 7up, gives it a little more sweetness.
