wouldn't it just be the biggest case of divine justice ever?

I mean the west FORCED China to abandoned their policy of Isolation in order to make China trade with us... and that then set a whole snowball of events into place that have lead us to where we are today......

China then returns the favour ....and we find ourselves in a position where we no longer have the skills to produce what we need...

Interesting twist of events...
EDIT...
THE WEST FORCED CHINA TO TRADE...
don't tell me that the USA didn't benefit from Trade with china or that they didn't take advantage of the situation. I don't recall any history books saying " the west forced china to trade BUT THE USA refused to "
For goodness sake!!!

and tried the same with Japan ( read up re commodore Perry ) only Japan decided NOT to fight it and became a formidable force .

so is that a problem with you? chinas turn now to become the super power, they arent out to hurt us or destroy us, all they do is make products excellent and much less costly, talk to the local unions here ask them why?example at the long beach terminal the office people who work w the teamsters average pay is $78,000 per year fully insuranced at no cost and 20 paid holidays plus 2 week vacations! want more? of course i would prefer american made products but who can pay for them?

It was great Britain who forced China to trade... Not America if thats what youre trying to say. They introduced Opium to China and basically FORCED them to trade due to addiction.

We don't have to be. And I don't think we should be. It would be nice to at least see the trade balanced out a little bit. Me myself would cut them off all together until the rade was equalized.

with China it's "quantity" or "quality". So if this did happen, perhaps that will be more quality in the things in our homes. As for me, I personally limit the amount of foreign items in my home.

It is their plan all along... Knowing Chinese people.. they will turn you down when you most need them coz they are communalists and non-god fearing, caring for themselves at the cost of no one. We should do it now bfore its too late... DUMP those chinese made garbage and stop supporting their goverment. What sucks is that I feel bad for the Helpless Chinese people... my best friend is also Chinese and he has the same opinion as me.
