Yes - juice is always watered at least 50-50, little or no candy or junk, home made cookies so I control the sugar. This way a treat stays a treat. There's so much hidden sugar in everyday products (do you know that ketchup has more sugar in it then ice cream? No wonder my son can eat it by the spoonful!) that we should at least try to control what we can.
And now we have to watch out for hidden artificial sweeteners as well - if a product says "no added sugar - aspartame free" it probably has Splenda in it.

I limit it because it's bad for the teeth and because it's just not too necessary- NOT because it supposedly causes to kids to be "hyper"- that theory has really been disproved and I never found my kids to act differently because of sugar. Anyway, the occasional candy bar, some ice cream for dessert or cookies after school won't hurt and adds to the enjoyment of childhood. I will always remember getting to go to the little corner store after lunch every day to by a 5 cent Nestle's Crunch!!!

Yes. I do not enjoy watching a child on a sugar high climbing the walls and throwing fits.

Absolutely.
Try it. Once your kid is done with the withdrawal, you will see a more manageable child emerge. Plus, those teeth and gums need to last 80-90 years!
And, I'm not a fanatic. We eat desserts, and candy, and all that good stuff sometimes. We also eat vegetables and cheese.

I do to a point of not just handing him sugar things but I don't read every lable and when he is a his nanas or mimis I let it slide since he doesn't see them a lot. Just depends on situations but most of the time I keep an eye on it.

YES. I buy 100% juice and mix it with half water. I very rarely give her candy or sweets. Obesity is rising year by year in young children. One cause is sugar, the other cause is TV and lack of exercise.

You better believe it.
He doesn't need the sugar. I don't need the sugar. I can control it now and incorporate good eating habits!

It depends. If you want your child fit, active, and alert then YES. If you want your child to be a fat, lethargic, couch potato then no.
