I mean sure celebrities are emitting more carbon in a year than we do in 5. But who else can get the message out about global warming besides celebrities. Nobody wants to hear some nobody scientist spew out facts and figure about climate change. It's boring. We need celebrites to glitz it up so regular joes like us will care. So when you call a celebrity a hypocrite, remember that they are the only people who can get the message out there. And after the message is out, we might actually do something about global warming.

In an age where Britney/Paris/Nicole/Lindsay get more news coverage than the Iraq war (and certainly way more than global warming) you have a valid point. Somebody needs to increase awareness about global climate change, and I don't see too many climatologists on TV.
The problem with celebrities is that people use them as an excuse not to change their own lifestyles. 'If Al Gore uses a lot of electricity then I can too', they conclude. Personal responsibility gets thrown out the door.

i aggree with you there we need celebs to tell us jow to dress ect and having them gets lots of messages across so what if they dress like complete hoes but they have free chocies , how would you like someone to bag you out cuz u wore a mini skirt you would'nt like no .
