Ok, first off i would like to state I'm Atheist.
You know whats funny... some atheists blame the world's problems on religion, while believers blame atheists for the world's problems....

There is no logic in either argument.... if there is please state it.

Why do some atheists always try to convert people into believing God doesnt exist, when they in turn hate it when Christians/ others say they will go to hell or try to convert people. Goes either way in many debates.

Oooo... another sad mistake... hippocrites/ or just plain annoying...
If you are responding to a question though... GIVE THEM ALL YOU GOT!!!

I appreciate your comments. I have begun to understand how some of the atheists feel after reading some of the comments from Christians the last couple of days. I don't anticipate converting any atheists on this forum. It isn't the appropriate place to even attempt it. It also troubles me when a few atheists enter questions where a Christian is struggling and asking for support. That isn't a time in my opinion to tell them how stupid faith is. Perhaps we need a little more tolerance on both sides. Thank you for trying.

Yeah I notice that too there are some atheists that seem to want to make people believe there is no god. They complain when christians and other religious people do it yet do it still. I wish there was more respect and at least an attempt to understand the other side. If you think about it though a lot of people if not most are hypocrites I even find myself being one now and then I try to promote understanding and respect but every now and then I find a person who just gets under my skin and it all goes out the window I feel horrible when I do this but again we are human and make mistakes.

A. Neither beliefs in god or disbeliefs in god created the world's problems. The human themselves does it, then uses the excuse to god or no god to justify it.

B. Atheists would not bother to convert people to believe god doesn't existed, they themselves feel that way. However, if someone wanted to push down their faith using fear or guilt or whichever sorry method, it is a retaliation. You do not see atheists going around saying "do you NOT believe in god", but you see atheists replying to christians and in turn the christian will say the atheist is trying to convert him / her. It is a form of automatic blame culture they pick up when they start to push all their blame and responsibilities to an imaginary son of an imaginary creature.

Although I do believe that both groups can take responsibility for some problems in the world, I think that the argument itself is the source of some very serious problems, and that by respecting each other we can resolve some serious issues. Besides, arguing on the Internet is like running in the special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded.

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

I'm not an atheist, but I've never seen an atheist conduct a brutal Inquisition, a pogram, a holocaust, burn any witches, or fly airplanes into skyscrapers to make a point. I'm also guessing that there might not be any atheists in foxholes because the atheists might have found a more sensible way to settle their differences than mass killings, i.e., war.

They just want to be right, and get validated for being right. And attacking "wrong" people is a way to get this validation. To them, their are two kinds of people in this world, the great ones in the know and the wrong scum. It's a form of narcissism.
