Hmmmm. I have lived in America all my life and I love this country dearly. I love the freedom, rights, and opportunity we have here. We, as the American people however have allowed our country to become the most violent country in the world though. Love the country but not the violence.

If we were ever invaded, what would you do? I know a majority of Americans keep guns. Out of curiousity do any of you have a gun in your house just in case or just because?

If we were ever invaded, I think that the American people may do more damage to the opposing country rather them to us. We Americans can fight lol.

What do you think?

The only countries that have any chance of even stepping on American soil, let alone getting a foothold in our country; are China or Russia.

First off, neither of these countries would or could invade; they dont have the money, supplies, or transportation to pull it off.
Second, if they got past the Navy and Coast Guard they would have to deal w/ our 2 million man Military sitting here...probably at least a million active in the country, plus the reserves and the rest around the World would be on their way back to the States to fight.
Third, our civillians are just as well armed as China or Russia w/ their AK-47s; not saying theres an assault rifle in every home but youd be surprised.

So w/ our top Military out of the whole world, mountain ranges to deserts to forrests of different terrain, all the different climates, and at least 75 million (guesstimation, probably more) armed civillians...No country could pull it off, itd be suicide.

Think about this. Let's take a State like Florida for example. A military invasion comes in and intends to take over Florida. Think about the manpower and resources necessary to defeat military operations there, let alone the civilian force where a large percentage has everything from a gatling gun to a derringer. Also consider the area necessary for occupation. It would take a half million troops to even begin holding occupation in Florida alone. Finally you have to think about the word "invasion." How the heck are they going to invade us with sufficient force to stomp out our military? Impossible and will never, ever, happen.

Do you seriously think that if someone attacked the United States they would stand any chance of conquering us? The only way to do it is through biological warfare which would probably kill the SOB's initiating the attack, if not eliminating mankind. Nukes seem to be the common subject for defeating our country, however, lets say the radical Islamic Muslim vermin bring in 5 nukes and detonate them. Again, think of the size of this country. Yes, we would lose a lot of people and perhaps a few thousands of habitable miles and it would be devastating, but we would still be the United States of America with enormous resources and military might. It is why I chuckle when I hear that the Muslim radical idiots will defeat us. No, not chuckle, laugh. Ain't know way it is going to happen.

1st off; I'm glad to hear someone speak of their love of this country. But I don't think that the majority of Americans own guns. I wish I had a bad *** Ak-47 or something but it's a bit pricey. As far as what would happen if another country attempted or did pull off an attack; I'd think that there would be a huge gapping hole of what used to be that country. My only hope is that We could see via cameras it all go down. The biggest threat I think America poses is not using Our full arsenal in the event the U.S. or it's allies ever were attacked by nuclear weapons. The above comment about blacks (10-12% of the total population of the U.S.) being duped into a race war is an extremely naive comment and shows the guy to be out of touch with reality. Black people are not that stupid. Neither are the people that read and answer these Q&A's.

Good question. Yes I own guns have all my life since I was 9 years old. Don't have a house full as you may think. Just the way I was raised in the country where everyone hunts. They would have a blood bath on their hands here as they would be in my back yard so to speak. The one thing to remember is our military would do a good job but being a vet myself I have not forgot anything. Just think of the millions of vets in this country. I think they would put up a pretty good fight ya think.

An invasion of the U.S. would only occur with the rise of a new imperialist power. By then, U.S. economic might and subsequently its military might would be in steep decline. As we have seen from our own military escapades, an imperialist power only attacks those perceived to be weak and powerless. As we've also seen, appearances can be deceiving.

An invasion of the U.S. would follow the same game plan brought forth in Yugoslavia and Iraq. The invading imperialist nation would find itself incapable of defeating a unified American population. As such, they would resort to the same divide and conquer tactics that we used in Yugoslavia and Iraq. The invading army would attempt to pit Whites against Blacks, possibly by using the same tactics that the KKK used in a previous period. Some sheet wearing "terrorists" (really members of the invading army) would be seen killing innocent Black children perhaps in a Sunday school. Black leaders, not comprehending what had really occured, would then rally for counter-attacks upon White communities and the civil war would commence.

British Special Forces Caught Carrying Out Staged Terror In Iraq?

Paul Joseph Watson | September 20 2005

In another example of how the Iraqi quagmire is deliberately designed to degenerate into a chaotic abyss, British SAS were caught attempting to stage a terror attack and the media have dutifully shut up about the real questions surrounding the incident.

What is admitted is that two British soldiers in Arab garb and head dress drove a car towards a group of Iraq police and began firing. According to the Basra governor Mohammed al-Waili, one policeman was shot dead and another was injured.

It would be more disastrous for the invading country. You might get in but sure would have a hell of a time getting out. Where would you go and to whom. All the guns in America I really don't think a country would try a land invasion maybe they would try a fly by.

If any foriegn Army ever tried to invade America they would get ****ed up real bad. We dont spend all of those billions of dollars on the military for nothing. And yes, Americans do own a lot of guns. Just taking Texas alone would wipe out most armies of the world.

There are more guns on the streets of Washington,DC than most Governments have in their arsonals. And DC has strict gun laws to boot! I hear even the Anti Gun Lobbyist carry guns in DC. Invade the United States and you WILL lose your ride home.

One of the reasons that our founding fathers wanted to give us the right to bear arms was to protect ourselves from our own government! But I think the tactic works equally well against invaders. I don't believe they ever intended for us to have to defend our right to own guns, from the very entity that those guns help protect us from!

I agree---even those folks opposed to handguns (like me) still may own hunting rifles. I think no other countries HAVE the ability to own personal guns.
