According to the 2001 census, just over a million people were recorded as of Pakistani origin (including British-born). It'll be a little higher now.

Not sure. Most of my local shops are Pakistani owned. They stay open late, work hard and put their kids through Uni.

I would think the figure is 6 times more than those published.Your question is not racist but one of concern and millions like you are of the same opinion.It would not be racist as suggested to call them Pakis either,I get called a Pommy in Australia and a Brit elswhere tell me the difference.

Lizzie Fish: it's not about being racist it's about people living in our country and not forcing their beliefs and culture on us. We accomodate them in every way but if you lived in their country you wouldn't be given the same.
