It took 4 months for me. So you would need 3½ months more. However now smoking has no effect on it, I mean no additional bad effect. I never quit smoking before or after the extraction. But why to re-start smoking !!!
How you are feeling after loosing wisdom !!
LOL joking dear.

I was told only to wait a day before I resumed smoking - no big deal. There was no infection because of it. But after the first day, I would recommend that you rinse your mouth with warm salt water to clear possibility for infection. Do this up to 3 times daily if possible for the first week.
Also, just pop a Vitamin C (1000 mg) in the morning and before bed during the first month, to speed up the healing process.

It's best to wait and see. It may take a while longer than a week but, you know, wait more to be sure: the gums will fill the holes eventually. But... smoking? What would the Tooth Fairy say about this? ;)

Mine were all under the gums, impacted, and it took about 3 months for the gums to fill up and heal fully.

I got mine taken out in March. They are now pretty much all the way closed, although not completely. My dentist said it could take months before the extraction location fully heals over.

Sorry :( The tooth fairy will not come pick it up because it's too big and heavy. The tooth fairy can only take small teeth because she is very small and doesn't go to the gym.

You haven't smoked for 2 wks. I would give anything for 1 day. However, it is o.k. to smoke now.
