The Rapture will never fail to happen. The reasoning will be it is still coming. As long as there are christians they will think the Rapture is right around the corner.

Rapture: If the chosen ones were gone what difference would it make how long it took? No one is being raptured and are they going to be mad at their preachers.
We will think that all humans are going to die.

(Matthew 24:21-22) 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

(2 Peter 3:5-7) 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.
In the same way as the flood? the globe was still here only the wicked were gone.

(2 Peter 3:13) 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
A cleansed earth.

The bible says how God,(Jehovahs) people will survive the end of the system, and the whole bible supports and discusses this occurance.
yet the Rapture is only based on one main scripture perhaps 2 if you push it.
The bible discusses Gods people going through a "Great tribulation" and coming out of it. And only the faith you have in God at the time will help you perservere thru this time of testing.
The Rapture really leaves no room for integrity, faith , or perserverence. you are simply whisked away to the spiritual realm when the great tribulation strikes. which makes no sense. because how can it be a great tribulation if you are not there to experience it. It is a great tribulation against gods people not the world.
some scriptures were misinterpeted once again in hopes to avoid the calamity coming upon us. unavoidable calamity
Peace

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation."

5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.

7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Their bumper stickers, "During the Rapture, This Vehicle Will Be Unmanned!", worry me. Shouldn't the state revoke their drivers license?

In fact the "great apostacy" is to occur before the rapture. See http://www.bcbsr.com/survey/rapture.html

Those who believe in "the rapture" have already apostacized, as there is no such thing.
