My 1 yr old poodle looooooves tomatos. I had 6 sitting in a window sill waiting to ripen a little more and when i got home she had eaten 4 of them. About 3 days ago she got into the garden and 3 tomatos off the vine. There isnt any pesticides or anything like that on the tomatos so im not worried about that. Does anyone know if it is okay for her to eat that many tomatos? The vet said she would be okay, and she doesnt seem to be sick...but i dont know..it just seems like too many tomatos!

Thanx
Owner of a tomato lovin poodle.

The fruit of the tomato is fine. Just make sure she doesn't eat the plant itself. That's not so good for her.

That is fine. My dogs snag a tomato or two off the vine to eat. They also eat some broccoli from the garden every winter. I just grow extra.

She might get a little stomach upset if she isn't used to so many tomatoes, but she'll be fine. That's so cute, I've never heard of a dog who loves tomatoes before!

All my dogs love tomatoes. Some dog foods have tomatoes in them.. They can't be bad.. The leaves from the plant are poisonous I believe?!? But the tomatoes themselves won't hurt the dog.. Course like anything else, moderation is the key!
