I'm not.
Remember that believers in the afterlife know that just as Heaven exists, so does hell. So knowing that hell is just as real, simply believing in the afterlife as a means to make one feel better wouldn't be much of an argument.
I'm okay with dying. I like life and all but whenever my time is, I'm ready. See I know where I'm ending up, but I also know where some of my loved ones may end up and that's sad, but a reality of what the options you have for the afterlife are.

Of course they're afraid of death but they've been fed the BIG LIE from the scammmers (who make really good money from the gullible by the way) who've convinced them of the all time best scare tactic that works well on very small children ... the InvisibleSkyPixie and what he reputedly says: You'd better SUCK UP TO ME or I'll send y'all to hell for eternity.

no, because we are still going to die either way. we will lose this fleshy form we are in. we will no longer have earthly things, like desire and lust. no more.
plus, if we just died and that was it, then i guess it wouldn't really matter. you're gone, right? how would you know the difference? you'd have no time to be afraid. i'm not thinking of the actual 'death' iteslf. however, i do believe i'm off to a better place without this mess we've created.
are you really afraid you are going to end up really, really hot after you die? why not believe? what's it going to hurt? it will save you much pain and anguish later on.

Perhaps they just interpret the reality differently than you do. You don't know what happens after, either, so you can't prove they are wrong or that you are right. Go ahead and believe what you want, and let others do the same.

Probably. It does make it easier to consider. And who knows? They might be right. It's really the same to not believe in it as it is to believe in it. So don't be so hard on afterlife believers.

I wouldn't have thought so..... even if there is nothing when we die, what is there to be afraid of? - nothing? I would have thought the 'believers' would have more to fear from a heaven or hell type of afterlife.
Incidentally, I do believe in spiritualism and that our souls go on - but its not because I'm afraid of dying.

Not really. In fact the belief in the afterlife generally makes people better people because you are rewarded based on your actions.
