I've heard about a book and DVD called The Secrets. What is it all about? I saw the news and people were going to Secrets Workshops. What is all that about? People believe that a DVD and book will actually help them out in life? I believe its just a way to get people to waste their cash on something that isn't even real. I have my beliefs set on something that is real but thats just fake. Sorry but what is this world coming to? They create things that just rip people off their money.

For all the answers thanks but I still won't go on to reading that book. I have my set of beliefs and I believe a bible will help me out in life that a stupid book written by a person who has a small pint of knowledge. In the end people believe that the person is a freakin' prophet or something. God is the only person that can help us out in faith. Things of this world change peoples minds.

My friend read it. There is no real "secret" - it's just a lot of stuff about the power of positive thinking. Which can be really beneficial to a lot of people, so it isn't a complete waste, but the marketing is certainly out of control implying that this is "hidden" knowledge that will create some sort of utopia. I think the authors genuinely believe the message, but they also sense a good money-maker when they see it.

You mean "The Secret" with the brown cover and pic of a red wax seal? Yeah I looked at it and all I can say is... god what a bunch of pseudo-psychology. It's a bunch of vague ideas strung together to try and say something that could be said in one sentence.

"The Secret" is really no secret at all. It's about the law of attraction. Whatever you put out into the universe, that's what you get back, in a nutshell. Duh. Save yourself the money.
P.S. I got the secret online for free several months ago and they're STILL spamming me >:(

in a way it is what GOD has been saying all along " do unto other as you would have them do unto you. give and you shall receive everything always come back to you. if you put out negative then that's what you get in return and if you give out positive then that's what you will get in return

Yes, it's a similiar then to any other of the self help series. I wouldn't waste my money on it.
