and peanut butter. The jelly is spread over the top. Everytime I look in the oven, a ton of smoke blows out. What is the problem?

Sounds like either your pan is over flowing or your jelly is burning! Pull your concoction out and give it a check. If its leaking, then sit your pan on a cookie sheet lined with foil. You'll have to clean the oven later. If your jelly is burned, you'll probably have to start over!

The sugar in the jelly is burning. You might want to make a tent of alluminum foil over the top. It might help. And move it to a lower rack or set the temp a little lower.

Put anything like cheese or jelly on after the stuff has cooked if not it will be ruined. Sugar burns and cheese melts to quickly.Then afterward dont leave it in there too long.

is it possible the jelly should have gone on after the baking ?
