It's never too early. Actually she has to get all her shots first.

I'd wait till all puppy shots are done at 16 weeks. There is a risk that the puppy's immunity is not quite in place at 12 weeks. But I strongly recommend puppy class and working on your own, taking the puppy all sorts of places and getting lots of experiences. I have been to puppy class with all my dogs even though I've been many times. I always learn something - but only after 16 weeks.
I do start obedience training on my own from the first day I bring them home. I just limit public exposure until shots are done.

Start your own training now, but you'll have to wait until vaccinations are done to take your puppy to school or out in public. Once you get the vaccinations you should take your puppy out around other people and dogs to socialize them. Just make sure it's an environment you have some control over.
I'd also recommend doing some research on training classes in your area. You might find some classes offered in local parks that may be better than pet store classes.

I wouldn't do it myself.. I would find other ways to socialize my puppy, rather than taking it to a place where there are so many dogs before the vaccinations are finished. .. But if you think you need to, and they absolutely INSIST that everyone be vaccinated and make people show proof.. .. Well I would still have a hard time with it.. But it wouldn't be as bad..

The best class I ever took my dog to.... highly recommended... my dog is now 3 and VERY well behaved. They train you how to communicate and train your dog.... fantastic.
I took my dog as a 9 week old pup... the sooner you go, the better...
