I'd have to think that's a pretty rare event, to be stopped AND have those particular rifles. I've only been stopped once (speed warning) in the last 15 years, excluding random vehicle checks at the gate of whichever Air Force Base I was entering. Out of two or three times there was a gun in the car coming on base the cops checked to make sure the pistol and ammo were secured separately and I was on my way.

I don't live in Kalifornia, but I live in the equally Communist state of Washington during the Summer. I turned 18 a few months ago, but have owned firearms (including an AK type rifle and AR-15) since I was about 15. Since I turned 18 I've been going to the range almost daily. A month ago I coming back got pulled over for a burnt out tail light. I told the officer that I had an AK-47 in the trunk, thinking that he wouldn't overreact as opposed to finding it on his own. I was held on the ground at gun point while his partner searched my car. He asked me what I was doing with an AK-47 and 500 rounds of ammo. I said that I had just came from the range and was heading home when you pulled me over. And then they start asking me all kinds of questions, thinking I am some kind of terrorist, which is painfully ironic considering I have Army and pro-government bumper stickers plastered all over the back of my car. He made a few calls in his car, God knows what about and finally let me go after an hour on the side of the road. All this bullshit over a LEGALLY OWNED RIFLE, fÏ
cking ridiculous! I'm just glad I live in Alaska for the school year, and am going back soon. Up there I could walk around with it loaded around my back and not get a second look in most parts.

I was a cop for 16 yrs and not all officers over react like that. Some (the ones that know the laws) understand that there is no law in their state that prohibits a person from carrying a gun in their vehicle. But unfortunately there are a lot of cops that let their own predjudices dictate what they do on a stop. If they do not like guns they will hassle a gun owner.
I was stopped one time coming back from a Hunter Safety class that I taught and I had 39 guns in my Van. The officer asked me why I needed that many guns and I explained to him that I was a firearms instructor. I ended up signing his son up for my next class. I was lucky to get a good one.

When I was 18 or 19 I used to keep a rolled up tape measure and a copy of the GCA 68 in my car when I transported my legal 18" pistol-grip shotguns to prove they weren't "sawed-off". Even then,
I sat on the side of the road and argued with an ignorant deputy for a half hour one time untill the sheriff showed up and told him to leave me the hell alone.
We all wound up taking turns shooting the thing at trash in the ditch.

I live in Kalifornia, and even worse I work in a place i call ground zero for liberalism, BERKELEY !!!!!! I have not been stopped but if i do I may be in trouble as i always carry a beretta 9mm fully loaded with an illegal 15 round magazine, in the trunk is a spaz 12 gauge always fully loaded. I refuse to become a victim of violence. I hate kalifornia and i am looking to move to arizona.

I am so glad I do not live in any of the states that you have mentioned!
Sorry to hear of your troubles, but in Cali there are some whacked out fools thriving there.!
Got pulled over for speeding (stupid me) I had a trooper flip out on me when I was 19 because I had a 10/22 in a hardcase in my truck box leaving the range and he had his gun drawn on me but oh well U know: Supercops, or better yet, Ubercops.
