Is this true?

Yes, it is true. I know they are the coolest looking shoe out there, but they aren't good for running. I want a pair, but only to wear around. The reason they aren't good for running is because they don't offer good stability. The shox are higher up and increase the chance of rolling your ankle. Overall, the answer is true. I reccomend Asics for running.

yes their considered to be too heavy. Try adidas megabounce. Their a wee bit lighter and look just as, if not cooler, than shox

Yes, if you look at them they are basically like running in a semi-high heeled shoe. They hold your foot in a position that is not natural to running which can lead to serious problems and possibly injury. Good running shoes to get are Asics, and Mizuno

It is the next generation of cushioning and really comes down to a runner's preference.
