Does it work as well as, say a Chi straightener? I mean, does that shampoo/conditioner/serum (or whatever) really work as well as a good flat iron, and make your hair 'straight as a board'? Please help!! Cuz I don't know if I should go for a Chi or this....my parents don't want me using straighteners cuz of the heat or whatever...so I considered this...

I tried it once. It was ok it kind of got my hair semi flat but there still was a little bit of a wave and puff. Hair straighteners are the best bet the heat works perfect.
