I mean I like him and i think about him alot when im not with him..and get upset when he doesn't call/text or get ahold of me...and look forward to the next time i'm going to see him..but i'm nervous and almost uncomfortable around him in person...is it because its the shyness?

Yes...very good...he is much more sexually experienced and I'm definetly not...waiting for the right guy and hes even joked about messing around...so...

it could be and it could also be if this guy has a background of going far with girls and your not ready for that, you might feel nervous and uncomfortable around him because you dont want to give off the wrong impression.

Well the next question then is how do you feel after you've just seen him. Do you feel good then? Or do you feel dissappointed? If you feel good after you've seen him then you'll probably get over this uncomfortableness sometime.
If you always feel dissappointed after you see him then this sounds more like an obsession. The him in your head doesn't match the real him, and you keep trying to re-create the him you'd like him to be when he's not around. The truth is you don't enjoy yourself when you're around him and this probably won't make for a good relationship. Don't blame yourself. Your just not a match with this guy. You will find someone who you are more at ease with. More like a friend, but with the extra added romantic spark.

seems like an addiction. try to meet each other in person, hang out more to overcome the shyness and also get a feel if there is any chemistry.
