I was born in the 1950s and over the past thirty years in particular, I have seen the attitude to the Christian church change beyond recognition since I was a child. Sometimes I am alarmed at the speed with which it's changing. It really brings to life the words of scripture stating that in the last days men would be arrogant against God, lovers of themselves and boastful and proud. Lovers of sin and promoting evil in the world. Apart from the early Church many of whom were put to death for their faith, This has never happened in history since the Church became established and if nothing else fails to convince people that biblical prophesy is true, this one should. Since coming on this site I have been shocked at the numbers who have no respect for Him at all and wonder how arrogant they will still be when they come face to face with Christ. I have gone into look at questions posed by Wiccans and for a time they were talking about burning Christians, as they see it, to get even for witches burned in the past. I believe times of Christian persecution is imminent, It's already verbal and in some cases I believe it is only the law which hinders it. As the world is unified (actually another prophesy coming true) and society become more humanist, the laws will be changed accordingly. If only they knew, we have the widest context and the widest invitation ever extended to man from God. Sadly, so many are already being tested with real persecution in third world countries but of course this western society think they are too sophisticated for it to affect us .God bless :)

First off how is that a warning to Athiests since they tend to be very smart and abit more open minded, its also becomeing popular to be an atheist in some places. Secondly i have read the bible and there isnt a phrase in there that would point to the faith being unpopular to the point of its followers dieing. But i will agree with you on that many christians are narrow minded, open your mind and new things will come and improve the world in which you live in, keep it closed and your world will decay into chaos.

Well, you Christians do have a tendency to be intolerant of religious, scientific and ethical views which do not back up your version of the truth as you see it. That doesn't win you many friends. I remember getting lots of thumbs down for saying I didn't believe Eve was created from Adam's rib ... and very shortly after that, I became a pagan witch. Personally I think "the truth" does not exist ... there are lots of "truths" and they can all co-exist. Any religion which insists dogmatically on a monopoly of the truth is doomed to die.

Lix ... can you post me the links to those Q's by Wiccans you mentioned ... I simply do not believe what you just said is true and I would like the chance to check it out. If they said that, they are *not* Wiccans ... we believe in peace and tolerance.

first the bible doesn't mention Christianity.....it says the followers of Christ, as far as narrow minded thats your choice if you want to go through life with eyes closed and ears shut to the truth..then your narrow minded... if you want to see what Christ can do for you then it's a whole new world.....

It has been happening all along and even now in many parts of the world. Some are just killed, but many die very horrible deaths because of their faith in Jesus Christ (even entire families, with children and babies...) wake up!

The irony is that those who do such things to Christians actually have no reason for their hatred, so do they only hate Jesus?

Then I guess you'd better quit being so narrow minded. Sounds like a warning to you.

Don't you have passage to reference? To be a religious seems to require being narrow minded anyway. If religions would just practice love and tolerance, maybe they would not become unpopular.

PLease site the exact chapter and verse you are referring to.

This one has read the Gospels many times, in many languages and has not found such a passage, perhaps thte English is not the same as the Greek.

We are like medicine to a sick and dying world.....only once your sickness has magnified will you realize the need for the Christians life saving antidote. Sadly it'll be too late for most.

P.S. It's a warning to non-believers that God will remove His hand of protection as well as a warning to us Christians that life as a Christian will indeed get harder. This is not only happening now, which is a prophecy but, it will come especially to those who become Christians after the rapture.

I don't hate Christians it just annoys me that people could be doing something more constructive with a witness-able product.
