I am trying to make sides for a quarterpipe(skate) but the size of plywood cannot make it taller tham four feat. so i need to splice two pieces and make a side tall enough for like a 5 foot tall ramp. i need a really strong form of spicing.

I don't see why you need to splice the boards. I would just build the frame the size I needed and screw the plywood sheets down to the frame.

I wouldn't use nails. They might work their way out and cause a nasty injury.

I would think you would be best off putting a wide piece of the same plywood under the two parts to be joined so that it overlaps the underside of both. Smear the mating surfaces with a strong carpenter's glue. Then drill and countersink for flat head screws and put them in from the top surface so they do not protrude.

BTW you can also get plywood in 5 x 10 pieces so you might not have to join anything because you will have your 5 ft.

Use mutable thinner layers over lapping sand down any high spots when you over lap. On the very last one sand down and make sure all edges are very tight. Last layer i would glue down.

Myself i would apply some type of coating.I would have to see other other do it but seams like spraying on few clear coats and sanding. Then coupled coats of wax would give you a great surface. Allso protection from rain. I would paint everything else too or you could to have to rebuild your ramp in few years. :)

Best way to splice plywood is with more plywood and glue.

I would use two thin layers of plywood laminated together.
