When my girlfriend was 5 months pregnant I dumped her. I was fresh out of college and scared, so I bailed. I told her I would support her through the pregnancy but she refused. Two weeks later, I started dating another girl (my current gf) and I guess that made her more mad. Its been two years since my son was born and she's still bitter and interfering with my relationship with him. How do I convince her to get over it already?

Basically there is no way that you can convince her to get over it, she has to do that on her own, but one thing you can do is try to make peace with her and if she doesn't want that , all you can do is be there for your child, because she is an grown woman and she's old enough to know when its time to let go of the past.So, don't get back with her because you don't want her to get child support from you , because that would only cause more hatred towards you, and it wouldn't be fair on your end because that would be putting you in a position you don't want to be in , and it would be making you be with someone you don't want to be with.

So, let me get the facts straight.
You got her pregnant, then bailed when she was just a few months from delivering. Offered to support her through the pregnancy, what about the 18 years after that? Are you paying support now? Are you willing to pay the back child suuport that you weren't paying for the last 2 years?
Started dating your ex.
And you wonder why she won't get over being bitter?

This question must be a beeping joke. How dare you even contemplate about leaving your pregnant girlfriend? If you must rather be with whoever this attractive girl at the gym is, see your current gf through her pregnancy and assume both your emotional and financial responsibility as a father. A word of warning. Be prepared for some nasty exchanges when you announce this news to your gf. She might be quite reluctant to have you as a father figure at all.

I found out the other day that my bestfriend is pregnant and the father of her baby left her too and if i ever see him i will break him.......Its not right if your going to risk doing some girl without a condom you should man up and take responsibility for your actions, and you cant convince her to get over it...you left her to take care of a child by herself your lucky she doesnt drop kick you in the stuff the next time she sees you cuz i probably would if i was in her shoes.. Sorry dude but next time you get a girl pregnant make sure shes married to you first

Why should she want anything to do with you anyway??? It takes more than sperm and money to make a father. You left her when she and your son needed you the most. Why should she make your life easy. You are the part time father who shows up when he feels like it. Where were you at those 2 am feeding and those 1 am fevers? I have no pity for you. Get over yourself.....
