As an occultist I see death as a passage way into life more vivid and real .When the physical shell is discarded then we will find our selves on the higher astral planes which are heart oriented and pure.Having discarded the former body ,the soul begins to gather around itself the substance that will go into the making of a new body that we will incarnate in some future life. There is no reason to fear death because It is only an ending of a life cycle of the soul and will return in a later date to work out the plan that God has for all human life. One day even death itself will be over come with victory and swallowed up completed and to become Masters of Wisdom.

I won't give you my opinion, let me show y0u what God says about death,

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

(Ecclesiastes 3:18-21) 18 I, even I, have said in my heart with regard to the sons of mankind that the [true] God is going to select them, that they may see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust. 21 Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth?

Dying is an impossible idea because is about non existence and if you imagine yourself dead, you would have to be alive in this imagination to feel it. But it does not mean that non existence is an impossible state. Think of your conscience a hundred years ago and you will como to a conclusion that you have already not existed.

Death is like before being born, an absolute, real and unimaginable zero existence

The other people carry on living. That's what life after death is.

Not as you know it to be now, a spiritual life is though. The soul leaves the body as the physical body dies. And so comes the afterlife, heaven.

because that is what you will get
different people believe different things

We'll have to wait and see, won't we? Can't ask a dead person, and don't believe anyone alive because how would they know?

Depends if you have accepted Christ or not.

If you have, your last breath on earth is your first in heaven.

If you haven't, you go to hell.
