My family and I went to California two weekends ago and I went to see my older cousin and he had his girlfriend with him... I wasn't jealous or anything... We went to the beach the next day and I wanted to spend time with my cousin but he wanted to spend time with his girlfriend rather than me... It didn't feel right to have her there with us. I tried to tell him but he was too busy with her and I've already emailed him. What should I do?

I'm his girlfriends friend now but I don't know why I can't get over the feeling. I guess I'm always around him because we are the 2 oldest ones and we give eachother advice about life.

Why should you be jealous? That is your cousin! You should welcome his girlfriend and be nice. You might find that you have some things in common with her and you might enjoy your vocation with your cousin that much more! Have fun and enjoy yourself.

It may be hard but your cousin now has a love interest in his life and if you want personal time with him then perhaps pick a time when his girl is not going to be around. Since this may be difficult because you may not live in same state, then another form of communication may be necessary. Did you email him before you went or after you left? Surely there must be one time when they are not in each others' arms? Search for that time when you can have his undivided attention

It sounds like you are jealous and its normal but its normal to want to be all up on your girlfriend too if you would like to spend time with him alone ask him for some one on one time
but you have to realize that there is a stage in everyones life when they find that special person they cant get enough of and because of school, work, or distance they cant see so often and when they get a chance they dont want to let go nomatter who is in town you are family and will always be there just try to understand it wasnt his intention to hurt your feelings his mind was elsewhere HE'S IN LOVE!

Whether it seems fair or not, when someone has a romatic interest in their life, that person will get more attention, it's just that way. When we're young, we can be close with cousins and this kind of stuff doesn't happen, but as each of you get older, new things will take their attention, and it won't be as it was.

Sorry but life moves on all the timeas you will find out as you get older. You will meet someone in the future who you want to spend all your time with and will realise how it feels. Be happy for him as chances she will be the first of many gfs.But you will always be his cousin.

Well I see two options here. You can either:

1.) Tell him you really need to talk to him and explain to him how you feel. He might think of you as selfish and as a person that only thinks of yourself, and he might get mad.

OR

2.) Try to get to know his girlfriend better. Maybe the two of you can become friends and then it won't be so bad to have her around with you and your cousin.

Good luck!

Sorry you have to grow up and realize that his girlfriend is taking up his time, becasue he wants her to. It is really bad of you to expect his full and undivided attention. You are just a visiting relative, not anything else, and relatives fit into family business - not into a persons entire life. He is grown up - you are not.

Tell him how U feel.If he gets mad at u don't worry just let him have time after that to think it out and he may understand what ur feeling cause i do. or he might get it right away but anyway just ask him to take you somewhere just the two of you only.
