if her skin is absolutely ruining her life.
(ex. her self confidence)
then you should take her to a dermatologist immediately.
If her acne is just kind of bad, try face washes with a higher amount of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
Try stridex or proactive. And if none work, try to look at other aspects of her life like her diet, her stress levels, and etc.
Sometimes it's simple things like changing her pillow that could help the irritation on her face.
I hope that helped! :-)

Well first off, I would get her to try and drink 6 - 8 glasses of h20, not just 2 ( it can be in anything like sugar free juice or green tea etc).
I've had to deal with acne for a while and my sister has for her whole life ( I'm 20 and shes 32 ), she went to a dermatologist and had a free consultation where she was told to purchase a kit . I used it for 2 days and my acne was practically gone, with a few red spots left.

Your daughter would most certainly benefit from seeing a dermatologist. Yes the cremes are pricey ( we paid $132.50 each) but I have no pimples and the kit has lasted for several months with still lots left.

Hope that helps!!

P.S. Her dermatologist said Pro-Active would work for the first little b it, but since its main ingredients is alcohol it just eventually ends up drying out your face, not fixing the problem)

It really isn't possible to lose weight super fast, you're gonna have to work hard for a while, depending on how much you need to lose. Are you sure you're up for that? Basically listen to what everyone else is saying-cut out the the junk food, high calorie, high fat foods and try to make an exercise plan. Maybe do 200 hundred crunches a night, or whatever works for you. Eating healthy without exercise isn't gonna give you the results you want. Another thing, don't expect the pounds to just wash away easily, it'll take weeks. The average pounds lost in a week is around 2-3, but not at first, you'll probably lose a lot of pounds of water weight at the beginning. Do little things to substitute the junk your eating now. Instead of your regular snack have fat free yogurt and fruit together. Instead of hot chocolate at night, have green tea(is thought to raise metabolism). Drink skim milk instead of any other kind. Don't eat white bread, stick to whole wheat stuff, only occasionally because bread and pasta contain a lot of fat. Have oatmeal, eggs, or a smoothie(fat free milk, fat free yogurt, fruit, splenda-yum) for breakfast instead of packaged food. Stay away from bagels and cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly(very bad for you!), lunch meats, (usually contains a lot of fat, stick to lean meats) and any other foods that could ruin your diet. Learn to read the labels on food, check the calories and the fat and how much a serving size is. Like I said you can't lose a lot of weight FAST. It takes a lot of hard work, and if you really want it gone forever you have to learn to change your eating habits, or all the weight will come back once its gone.

I recommend a dermatologist, even despite what people drink or eat they can still get acne.
I just went to the dermatologist today and they write you perscriptions and they explain how it helps, how to use it, and how long it'll take to start working. I recommend that rather than Pro-Active. I dont' have bad acne, just very subtle, but i tried Pro-Active and it didn't work really well for me. It did a little bit, but not much, and it also never got rid of my blackheads which I have all over my nose and some on my chin.
Just check out some local dermatologist to see how it goes.

Drinking water is essential for general health, but has nothing to do with acne. There are several very good anti-acne skin care kits available. Go to the skin care aisle of your local Walgreen's or WalMart and look at what's out there. Your best option would probably be to take your daughter to a good dermatologist who will give her in-office treatments and advise you (and her) about which products to use.

let her wash her face at least twice a day with a mild cleanser. Use a pH-balanced cleanser without perfumes or too many chemical additives.

she should avoid touching her face, and only when her hands are clean.

she should avoid squeezing pimples. Bacteria on her hands or on unsterile equipment can lead to more blemishes and possible scarring.

she should steam her face once or twice a week to help open the pores. Boil water, remove the pot from the stove, drape a towel over her head and hold her face over the pot. Then rinse her face with cold water.

she should try using essential oils such as calendula, chamomile, juniper, lavendar and mint directly on her skin. Mix 10 drops of any of the oils with 2 tbsp. soy or almond oil, and smooth a few drops on dampened skin.

she should try using herbs. chaste tree berry can help balance her hormones. Echinacea, alfalfa, burdock root, cayenne, chaparral and yellow dock root are also helpful.

Consider other topical mixtures. Beat an egg yolk, apply it with a cotton ball and leave it on for 15 minutes. Alternatively, mix oatmeal and honey together to form a paste and apply it to her face. Oatmeal soaks up excess oil and honey soothes the skin.

Take acidophilus to fight bacteria.

she shuld eat a diet high in fiber, including whole grains and fresh vegetables and fruits, to keep her body healthy overall and provide nutrients to her skin. she should stay away from junk food, caffeine and salty foods.

Determine whether specific foods aggravate her skin and eliminate them from her diet.

Consider adding zinc supplements to her diet.

Limit her exposure to the sun and try reduce the stress in her life.

Consult a dermatologist if her acne is really severe.

You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

2 glasses of water?
that is nowhere near enough.
and that is NOT alot.
if she is active in sports, she might not be washing her face before she goes too bed, or after she sweats, which can clog pores. if she doesnt cahnge her pillow case enough, then her face and boy soils can be embedded into the pillow, and then she sleeps on it every night and gets her face more dirty. make sure she cleanses her face with PROACTIVE or a natural line of that and then uses toner.
