Craigslist.com is by far the best and most popular. You may also be able to find some local free classifieds sites in your area by doing a search on something like, "free car ads Memphis", for example if you lived in Memphis.

I agree 'craigslist'. However, if you have a friend who works for a city or state dept, sometimes they are part of clubs with newsletters and allow members to post ads. Maybe (if you DO have a friend with some sort of government job) you could ask someone to post an ad for you.

craigslist.org all the way. I tried using autotrader.com. It took me 3 weeks to get my first call. I posted the car on craigslist and it sold after just two days!!!
