The translation of the verse that mentions the rainbow is not quite accurate in some versions of the Bible. The correct translation is closer to the NIV

Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

It doesn't say that the rainbow was first seen on that day only that WHEN the rainbow is seen, Noah was to remember the covenant.

I have not have been given any thought. I wasn't there. Genesis 2:5-6 does talk approximately no rain. That became till now Adam became created additionally. Neither rain or rainbows are recorded in the Bible till the flood. Does that propose that it on no account rained, or that there became no reason to point it. I have not have been given any thought. The water cover theory does not artwork. The ice cover theory looks slightly extra suitable, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is of course in basic terms a theory and looks uncertain to me besides. some issues of course have been replaced after the flood. like the lifespan of persons became drastically decreased and stuff. So besides, i don't be conscious of. as a great way using fact the guidelines of nature, i do no longer think of they ever replaced. I see no reason in the back of them to have replaced. i will work out that the earth's environment might have been replaced. it is likewise achieveable that there have been rainbows till now the flood, yet they weren't linked to a covenant of no longer flooding the earth. it somewhat is likewise a reminder of a covenant. so a great way as i be conscious of, it is the 1st point out of a rock pillar. i do no longer think of it became the 1st rock pillar nonetheless. Genesis 31:40 4-40 8 Come now, permit's make a covenant, you and that i, and permit it function a witness between us." (40 5) So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a pillar. (40 six) He suggested to his kinfolk individuals, "collect some stones." so as that they took stones and piled them in a heap, and that they ate there by utilising the heap. (40 seven) Laban known because it Jegar Sahadutha, and Jacob known because it Galeed. (40 8) Laban suggested, "This heap is a witness between you and me immediately." using fact of this it became called Galeed. P.S. In regard on your added information, please examine it back. It became a rainbow in the clouds - no longer in basic terms some dude with a water hose asserting, "Oh seem - a rainbow!". Genesis 9:13 I even have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it would be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

I am not a creationist, but the logic of the history book indicates it never rained before Noah's day, and you did call it a rainbow?

There was no rain before the flood. The earth was watered from huge cisterns under the ground. The potential for the spectrum existed in the physics of light, however, there was no opportunity to see it until the first rain ceased with Noah. God then set it as a covenant promise to Noah never to flood the earth again.

ref. Genesis 2:5
...For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth... but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

Proverbs 26:4-5 Don't answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. (5) Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Both are true. Answer or not? I thought about it, but I'm tired of being called retard this week. Next time...

And the great flood wasn't the first time it rained in history hun - I don't know where you got that from

(don't quote me on that)
