To all Active Military Personnel and Veterans,

Thank you so much! Because of you I can go to school, work, and live a happy life because of you. You are brave and I respect you gratefully. My grandpa is a POW from WW II and my uncle recieved a Purple Heart in the Vietnam war. Words can not express how proud I am of them. You make the sacrife of leaving your family behind all to protect me. I couldn't be any more proud of you! You are literally 'Gaurdian Angels' on earth protecting the people of these Great United States. To the families, you are very fortunate to have one of your own to represent this great country. May God bless you with his guiding light and bring you home safetly. To those families that have lost soldiers, yours will NOT be forgotten. They will be known for their courageous bravery and gratitude. I love my country and MY soldiers defending it! God bless the soldiers and their families. COME HOME SAFELY!

Thank YOU for your kind words. And a huge thank you to your veteran family. You know better than most the sacrifice that comes with loving someone in the military. All it takes is one comment like this to remind us that we are loved and supported by those other than our families. And it never gets old. Thank you so much and God bless you.

First off thank you for putting into words that you feel. It is some of our great people that go into harms way to protect you and me. Since you have 2 people that were in the military you might what to see if you would like to join the American Legion Auxiliary. They not only work to improve things for our veterans but also the active duty. This is a way to put action into your words.

I am sure many military personnel both retired and serving will be happy to see your post, it makes a very refreshing statement amongst all the crap being posted about the military, by people who have no idea what the job of a soldier entails.
I am not myself an American but I did serve over 21 years in the Military, so I know where you are coming from.
Please pass on my regards to your Grandfather and your Dad for the sacrifices they and their comrades made to help keep the world a better place.

I totally agree. People get caught up so much in how they disagree with the war and how we shouldn't be there and all of that other negative stuff about the war, but people tend to forget about those that are over there fighting and risking their lives for us every day.

"A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about." Woodrow Wilson

We must never forget our veterans, they ARE our history.

on behalf of all of Americans, 'Id like to apologize to all of those who've found themselves in Iraq fighting bushs personal war. It's unfortunate the whitehouse has chosen to exploit your patriotsim and desire to defend and protect this great nation. It is also unfortunate that there are those who continue to defend that power hungry liar......they are more to blame than anyone. We all wish you well and hope the gutless congress finds the spine to bring you all home soon.
