They will absolutely dump the water. Don't fill it, then go through security, and you can refill it while you're waiting at the gate. The liquids rules have been adjusted, so check the TSA website if you have anymore questions.
The games shouldn't be a problem as long as you bought them legally.

no liquids allowed in the cabinluggage. Only at the suitcases which are checked in for the luggage room.
If you have liquids in your hadlugage it can be confiscated
or sometimes you'll have to let it seal like the do with suitcases to protect it, but this only might work in countries with some "less' strict following rules. Otherwise liquids, even tothpaste, shampoo and bathstuff are NOT allowed

You're video games will be allowed to stay in your carry-on, as would CD's, DVD's, MP3 players, IPODS, portable DVD players, laptops, and computer games.
However, liquid is NOT allowed in any form if being carried in your carry-on luggage. Shampoos, toothpaste, conditioners, body washes, mouth wash, water (even in an unopened bottle), soda/pop, juice... NONE of it is allowed. If they find any of it in your carry-on they have the right to remove the liquid and allow you to carry on with your travel and your bag, or they can confiscate the luggage itself... just depends on the mood of the security officer.
Hope this helps. :-)

Empty it before you take it through security. After you get through security, fill it with water. Games and such shouldn't be any problem.
