i feel that if i can get over a certain philisophical dillemma then i can finaly get over this anxiety.

it has to do with an actual academic philosophy. who do i contact for help? i am not in college or anything like that.

so who would be best to contact for this situation?

ive tried asking on here. didnt work. no one realy knows about academic philosophy on here. i am NOT going through a "whats the maning of life" kind of struggle.

i am having a struggle with a certain idea/concept in academic western philosophy

One of you struggles is openness. You don't state the concept that's vexing you.
European philosophy is based on dichotomies. The universe doesn't know anything about dichotomies. Therefore, European philosophy is irrational.

even if you aren't in school, you can still approach most professors. i know that mine have always been very approachable. they don't even have to know that you are not a students unless you make a big point out of it. they are probably the best person to ask.
try this website. you may already be familiar w some of the info, but it may answer your question since you didn't specify what it is here.

Talk with someone who has similar view/concerns, and ask them how they managed to progress and earn a diploma. I was a conservative that studied social work...had to keep my mouth shut until I had a good idea of where certain lines of tolerance were drawn. After that, I knew when my answers would get me pounded, and just accepted it :)
