Garlic bread and a green salad go nicely with spaghetti. Just mix a little bit of garlic powder into some butter or margarine, spread on the bread and broil until it's toasty.

My favorite thing to make with spaghetti is garlic bread. It is so easy to make, but it tastes really delicious. Just get some regular white bread like Wonder Bread (although if you want it to look fancy, sliced French bread works well too.) Just set the oven to 250 degrees, and while it's pre-heating, melt about 1/2 stick of butter in the microwave, in a bowl. When it's all melted, shake in some garlic powder to taste, and mix it all up so it forms a garlic butter. Then either paint the garlic butter on the bread with a pastry brush, or just use a teaspoon to ladle it onto the bread slices. Pop the slices in the oven for about 7-8 minutes, and voila! Delicious garlic bread. If you want to get SUPER fancy, make some breadsticks using that Pillsbury breadstick dough that pops out of the can. Cook the breadsticks how the directions say, and then do the garlic butter thing. Good stuff!!!

I always make a nice salad, with cucumber, black olives, romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avacado, finely shredded cheddar cheese, croutons, and a nice dressing. Also garlic bread, use a french loaf, cut it in half and spread real butter, sprinkle with garlic powder and add some fresh mozzerella cheese, toast it in the oven and its delicous. Next i make some fresh green beans, tossed with coarse ground pepper and tomato...very delicous. Add some olive oil to the pan, let it get hot and then toss in the green beans with the tomatoes, onion and add salt and pepper to season.

MATRICIANA
500 gm fresh fettuccine cooked according to packet instructions (or in your case, spaghetti)
1 tblsp oil
1 onion finely diced
3 tsp fresh mixed herbs
2 cloves crushed garlic
6 rashers bacon finely chopped
5 fresh tomatoes cored and roughly chopped
1-2 tins crushed Roma tomatoes
Salt and pepper to season
Tabasco or sweet chilli to taste
Fresh shaved Parmesan to serve
Heat oil in pan, add onion, herbs and garlic. Sweat onion and allow herbs and garlic to become fragrant. Add bacon and cook on high heat until cooked and slightly crisp. Add fresh and tinned tomatoes and allow to cook and heat through until tomatoes have collapsed. Add salt, pepper and Tabasco or chilli to taste. Drain pasta and serve on plates with tomato spooned over the top. Add shaved Parmesan and serve with a crusty loaf of Vienna bread and a nice Moselle or dry white wine.
Hope you wanted something along these lines.
Have a great night and enjoy!!!

I love grilled garlic bread. you grill whatever bread you have, works best on thicker slices, then while it's still warm take a halved clove of garlic and rub the garlic onto the bread and drizzle with a tiny bit of olive oil if you like the buttery kind of bread. The best!

garlic bread goes nicely as well as a tossed green salad. In my home, we always have a meat as well, maybe braciole or some form of braised meat.
Know what's also nice? fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and basil, drizzled with a seasoned olive oil and vinegar (little oregano)... Cold string bean salad with garlic and oil is lovely too!
Have a great dinner!

Ok ...try garlic bread or cheese bread. Maybe a green salad on the side with dressing. Also, I like corn. Hope this helps!

Gee, don't know what you already on hand so that is a toughie.
Fresh or frozen broccoli would be nice.
Garlic or cheese toast.
Antipasti if you have a few suitable canned or fresh veggies.
Bread to dip in good olive oil with fresh ground pepper, herbs or balsamic vinegar.

Garlic Bread- Take sandwhich bread spread butter on and sprinkle with garlic salt. Place in oven on broil. Watch closely to insure you don't burn it. Once reach toast turn and watch.
Salad with Balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing works great. Add whatever you would like into your salad. I like almost all kinds of veggies.
