How can I improve and lower my voice ?

I have a high pitched screaky voice. How can I get a more masculine, low pitched voice with more resonance ?

bud. I hate to say it but its good to stay where your voice is naturally comfortable. I tried the exact opposite. I have a lower voice And i always tried getting into the high notes. After a while you tend to appreciate your voice and find a sense of comfort :). try barbershop out tenors are rarities and very valued in the barbershop community :)
