It depends on the kind of body lotion. Besides, if it's natural, 8 oz isn't going to do much to a dog that weighs over 40 lbs. It will come out as pee, and he'll probably feel nautious. I've had tough times in my life, eating before some Suave and White Rain shampoo, and my Chinese Crested, Schubert will lick the pumper of a lotion bottle sometimes, and he used to eat foamy soap and shampoo from the bathtub, just to taste it's flavor!!! StonyField Farm yogurt you need on hand.

He won't die, my dog gets into a lot of things. Still, I'd take the dog to a vet just in case, but I doubt there will be anything worse than maybe some stomach pains later on.

It counts what the lotion is made of. Read the bottle does it have a number on it for poison control. If it does call. Some bottles tell you what to do if a child get hold of it.
Or call a vet and ask what to do?

I don't think he'll die but you will want to take him to a Vet to have him check out the situation! Lotion is not meant to be eaten but I don't think it will kill a dog.

I don't think it will hurt him, but I would take him to the vet and have a check up and explain what happened and there might be something the vet could do to get him to throw up before it gets into his system.

You should take him to the vet. I don't think he'll die if you take him now and tell the vet what happened. They can give him stuff to make him throw it up and then soak up the rest in his stomach.

do not worry, that much. the dog probably chewed on it and thats all, puppies like chewing on things. if in the next 8-10 hours you see no bad signs or reactions, than its gonna be alright, but the best thing to do is take him to a vet.

He will probably have the worst case of diarrhea. Feed him lightly or not at all until you know if he has the runs then withhold food for 24 hours. Feed rice or oatmeal with boiled hamburger, chicken or turkey until he is normal then introduce his food slowly.
