Yes, they charge a fee for testing it. And if there's worms you'll need to buy the medication, but it'll probably take a day or two for them to run the test.

Rates vary by vet, call them and ask how much you need to bring.

yes you will have to pay for it. When I got one done on my puppy it cost $35. I also paid over $100 in the shots that the puppy needed just within the first few months and another $125 to get the puppy spayed at 6 months. Dogs are expensive even if you get them for free they are still spendy. Plus heartguard meds for a year are $50 and flea and tick meds for the summer (6 months) are $60.

The stool sample is to check for worms or infection. This means they will run tests on it in their lab.
Most Vets DO NOT include this in your exam fees. So you will have to pay for the test. It could be 20-40 bucks.
Call your vets office and ask if it will be included in the visit you just paid for. And ask them to be clear in the future.

You should call them, because a lot of vets who give you the container for the stool sample already charged you for it, so you don't have to pay again. If they didn't charge you for checking the sample, then they'll charge you when you drop it off. Just call and ask them.

Yes you should do a fecal test to check for worms. Yes, there will be a fee involved for doing the test on the sample. Make sure you folow your vet's instructions on how fresh the sample has to be prior to the visit or it will give a false negative.

Fecal test are usually covered with puppy wellness programs. If your vet does not offer a puppy program it will be charged separately. Call your vet and ask how much, because prices vary.

You will have to pay for the tests that they do on the stool sample. It is routine for puppies. They need to test for things like worms and giardia.

It depends whether or not you've paid for the lab work. If the vet wants a stool sample, it's going to be looked at in a lab...which costs money. How much? Depends on what they're looking for and where you go.

Sometimes they make you prepay for the container, and that covers the test. If you didn't, then the fecal test will cost you. Usually less than $20.
