Do you support our troops that suffer at the hands of war but are neglected by the very government that sent them over there?
Read this article to discover what I'm talking about. Then tell me how we're winning this war on terror.

I normally just let those who defend this war (that we were led into by deception) state their opinions and leave it at that.
I am going to say this. I don't believe you are protecting this country at all. You have bought into the lie upon which this UNDECLARED WAR

was sold to the American public as. How are you protecting me when our country is going bankrupt?
We're told we will be there for untold years. And for what? To fight terrorists so they don't follow us here?
I've read articles that have said they are here. So tell me, how is it that our American troops are protecting our country if the terrorists that aren't following us here happen to be here?
Sorry about the break in comments. I accidentally hit submit.

Marina, I read the article and oh how true it is.
To Voice of Liberty--I hope and pray something happens to you while you "defend" our country and you get discharged at the convenience of the military.

Ahcho, President Bush is the one who didn't listen to top generals in regards to needing more troops over there.
But, in reality, democrat or republican, it wouldn't have mattered. Either party would have gone about bringing down the democracy of America.

James, the only MOURNING I am doing is for the soldiers who are being neglected at the hands of the very government that sent them over there.
Perhaps you should read and research to find out the truth.

Voice of Liberty--you talk about our soldiers promising to uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Aren't our congressmen/women and senators suppose to do the same?
So my question to you is this--why didn't the U.S. (through Congress) ever declare war on Afghanistan and Iraq?
The next question is--why are we being fed lies by the media (as well as our leaders who, by the way, feed the media what they want to report) about our next unconstitutional move?
You, who "think" you are defending America, are you ready for the preemptive strike America is getting ready to do Iran?

To those I lashed out at, I apologize. I keep all of our soldiers in my prayers. I don't want to see any of them hurt.
Of course, the government is notorious for breaking promises to veterans over and over--especially when it comes to medical benefits.
At one time, they were promised free medical care for life. Now they don't get it.
For those soldiers wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq (as well as all other wars) you forever will be in my prayers.
I was just upset over the perception of some people who think America is being protected and that the terrorists will follow us home.
For those who have seen and read about the truth in regards to this war on terror, we should all be prepared for the worst.

Sean--according to the constitution of the United States, Congress must be the first step. They must decide to declare war.
War was never declared. Get your facts strait. Therefore, both of these wars are unconstitutional.
You may have fought in some wars, but you don't know the constitution.

LilDebunker--did you know that Guiliani's law firm is the law firm that is crossing the t's and dotting the i's to create the superhighway that will go from Mexico to Canada.
The whole idea being to create a North American Union.
The question then becomes, what will become of our Constitution?
All of the other candidates you have mentioned, you are so right on as well.

Sean, one other thing. Since when did we ever need the permission of the U.N?
Remember, we said we could go it alone. What happened next? We started asking countries for help.
Read the constitution.

I don't support this war, but I do support the troops. Poor guys are put in hell for a lie. I am tired of people saying it's unpatriotic to speak out against the war when the truth is you cannot stabilize a region that believes in Sharia Law. It has been ruled in many courts as incompatible with democracy. There is no seperation of church and state and their can't be in those countries. Why don't we focus on having a strong defense and making our country better, and securing our borders. I am boycotting the media from now on. Only thing I will watch is the debates as long as they are including the underdog candidates as well as the Mainstream Puppet candidates.
CFR candidates that media is pushing - Obama, Giuliani, Clinton, Edwards, McCain, Romney, Fred Thompson and more.
Don't vote for them.
REsearch.

If these abuses are happening, it's a horrible thing and needs to be dealt with. Our troops should be treated with more respect than that.
However, there's a difference between that and what we're fighting for. We're fighting not a war on terror but a war on radical Islamist beliefs. Yes, we have the right to disagree with the war...but those troops are fighting for you to have that right. In other parts of the world you would be put in jail or executed for disagreeing with the government. And the truth is in the extremely unlikely event Islamo-fascists were able to take over America...we responding here would most likely be the first ones put to death by the new regime.
I hate war with a passion...I'd rather not fight if I never had to. But in this case we need to get the job done...the terrorists will follow us home if we pull out and declare victory. Look at the horrible cost of World War II...if the British and French had dealt with Hitler before the invasion of Poland they could have prevented such a conflict.

Problems such as these are not as common as politicians and the media want you to believe. Almost every problem that people bring up on Yahoo Answers concerning the war, is a problem which any military would face in the same situation. Just because the system is not perfect is not a justification to throw up your hands and surrender to your enemy who is trying to kill you.
Remember that every soldier signed a paper and swore to uphold and defend the Constitution and serve the American people. It was not soldiers though, who were burned, cruched, suffocated, and died in the World Trade Center. This is everyone's war buddy and I guarantee if one of your family members was killed by an Islamic Fundamentalist, you would be whining and crying about something completely different.

We are as close to winning the "war on terror" as we are in winning the "war on drugs".
I was all for a complete destruction of Saddam and the Taliban. What I am completely against is a prolonged occupation in those regions.
When we are wronged (attacked) we should respond with devistating punishment then let the offending group deal with that destruction. No appology, no nation building, no assistance at all.

So U.N. Res 1441
H.J. Res 114
both Legal.

Sounds like the kind of thing that happens with bureaucracies. Especially underfunded ones.
Has nothing to do with the ill-considered, non-sensical declaration of a 'War' on 'Terror,' though. The same could happen at any point that mid-level bureaucrats find themselves having to shave thier budgets.

Great point!
Unfortunately most war supporters won't read your article, and are brainwashed from the right wing think tank of Fox news.
They are far from questioning what their leaders tell them. Perfect flock of kool aid drinking sheep.
It takes way too much time to read, research and question issues regarding the war and terror.
