Might be a better idea to fix the gate than to make your dog fat so she doesn't fit thru...

Edit : Why are you guys telling him how to fatten up his dog? IT'S BAD.. And he wants her fat so she can't fit thru the gate.. That is NO reason to fatten up a dog...

Unless your vet says the dog needs to gain weight don't make it fat just so it can't fit through some bars of a gate...get a more secure gate. You can get chicken wire and attach to the gate so the dog can't fit.

I have an Airedale Terrier, a German Shepherd/Chow mix, and an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. What kind of dogs do I wish I could have...Besides Airedales, probably some sort of Setter or Pointer, a Giant Schnauzer, a Boxer, a Belgian Sheepdog, a Collie and an Irish, Lakeland, Scottish, Wheaten, Welsh, and Wire Fox Terriers The coolest thing my dog does is peel boiled eggs. The funniest thing he does is he sits in a wheelbarrow and lets you push him around everywhere.

The gate is the problem, not the dog. Unless your vet tells you your dog is underweight and prescribes it a certain diet, you could be doing it a lot more harm than good by making it fat. And remember, it was your choice to get the dog, now it's your responsibility to take care of it properly. And please do not take this the wrong way, but the fact that you thought of changing your dog before your fence leads me to believe there is more you need to learn about dog ownership.

A better question is why is she so underweight? Has she seen the vet? Does she have worms? Or is something else wrong with her? Repair you gate so that she cannot get through it. Do you have any idea what will happen to her if she is picked up by animal control?Due to the prejudice against this breed, she will not have a chance.

Er no - don't do that and I hope you're joking. Being overweight is very bad for animals, it causes a myriad health problems, just as it does with humans.

How about getting off your lazy *** and sorting the gate out?

Dont feed her human food, she will get used to eat and wont eat her regular dog food. Got to the vet and tell him your problem. The vet might probably give you some special food to give to your pitbull, or some vitamin that might help with wieght gain.

Fix the gate instead... if your dog is fat, it is unhealthy.

um...are you really this stupid?

Dont over feed a dog. Get a new fence! Or give the dog away to someone who actually cares about its welfare!
