Nope.. One is a blood test, one is a poop test.. Heartworms and intestinal worms are two different things.

No, a heartworm tests only for heartworms. If you think your dog has worms of some sort right now, call the vet ASAP. Your dog shouldn't wait until Tuesday for some routine test you've got scheduled.

As far as I know, Heart Worm tests are only for detection of just that....Heart Worms. If you have actually seen worms of some sort you can describe them to the vet (let the vet know if your dog vomited up the worms or if you saw some in its stool), then they can be treated for additional infestations. Also, there is a de-wormer that some vets use that kills many types of worms. Just ask your vet.

No here it tests for heartworms and Giardia but not intestinal worms. Take a fecal sample with you to the vet.

No! Heartworms are seen through a blood test and others are with a stool test.

No, just heartworms as they live in the BLOOD. To test for others, bring a fecal sample also.

No, it only test for heart worms. If you want to find out if your dog has any other worms, ask your vet to do a fecal(stool) exam. This will test for hookworms, roundworms, and tapeworms. It is usually only about $10.00-$15.00.
