Wednesday he ask me to come with him to IHOP at 12:00am on Thursday.I tried to refuse but he insists. The next day, I tried to refuse, but still...,He came to my house at 11:30pm. I was complaining because its so late but still he insist or else. So we rode our ""Bike"" in the path where its shorter but darker (less light post).I was biking really slowly since my tire has no air.We were going along the way and when I looked left I saw a white car, slowing down in our opposite direction and then drove away. We continued biking and then the white car came along our direction and called my friend.I just continued going, assuming that they'r his friends, there were 2 of them in the car. They ask "Yo you got 5 bux? I need some for the gas". I was already few meters away. And he opened his wallet to take $5, and they took his wallet, assuming they have a weapon, then they left.We rushed home to cancel his debit card.I didnt see anything at all he told me.So whose fault?Am I to blame?

you're not to blame. the fool shouldn't have gave them 5 bucks in the first place. that's why he got robbed, because he was stupid.

So sorry to read that. Remember that it could have beeen worse. You both are safe and unharmed. Money can be replaced. Cards can be cancelled. Life is precious and always, we are all smarter when we look back in hindsight.

You were in the wrong place in the wrong time and yet the OUTCOME of the entire episode was acceptable.

Having been mugged myself before, I know that we respond differently from the next person. Just thank God you are both safe.

If I were your friend, Id probably be sulking because of the loss of my money. If you treated me out for a burger and fries ( not at night) I d be somehow mollified.

if the story is the way it sounds then you are not to blame, your friend should grow up and take responsibility of his mistake, I also have a problem with you, because you say he insisted that you go, if you think its late no matter what your friend says you can't go , you left because you wanted to, hopefully your friend doesn't lose his identity too, at this point I would advise you to put a password on his credit report so that he will be notified every time there is a new transaction

no your defiantly not to blame. it was a incident that wasn't under either of you control. even if, what difference does it make now? whats done is done. cancel all credit cards. its sucks that theres people in the world like that. next time you notice a guy following you, head towards a more public area or call the cops.

People like to push blame off on others but most often it's their own fault.

Nobody forced him to go in the area you were. He made all his own choices right up to when he got mugged.

How old are you? Is this a serious question? I think it's obvious, the person who robbed your friend is at fault.

Unless you were the mugger, it wasn't your fault.
